"One of These Days" - What a song title and a song. How true it is. How many times have we said those words. I look at it in both a positive and a negative way. I'm a born procrastinator and I'm sayin' to myself all the time, "one of these days I'm gonna .......". but in a positive way in that " I know that one of these days ............ it's gonna' happen".

I think I may have introduced everyone to Chris on my website about two years ago. If you do a little diggin' you will find some great songs he wrote that I posted sometime ago. As a matter of fact they're gonna wind up on the "Song of the Day, "One of These Days".

Chris was born in Jimmie Rodger's home town of Meridian, Mississippi and still lives in that neck of the woods. There is some great stories to hear about Chris's connection with Jimmie that maybe sometime I'll talk about. I'm not quite sure how I ran across Chris. You know how this Internet stuff goes when you start browsin' around. Chris is a good friend of Mike Compton's and knows the other Chris - Chris Sharp from Asheville.

Anyway, I'm sure glad I did find him. To help you out a little if you want to get a little more info on Mississippi Chris, here is a link to his website. Although I haven't seen Chris perform in person, I really enjoy his music. He writes most of his own songs and this one I'm going to let you hear is from his latest CD that you can get, like I did, from CD Baby. I wouldn't be surprised if a major performer doesn't pick this tune up. I think it is a great one and there are several more on the CD that I'm sure you will like.
