Back row - jkh, Pastor Tim, Leigh McKenzie, Chip Russell, & Storm
Front row - Dai, Christine, & Melissa - Kelly & Lily or missing as Kelly was up in the mountains with Heidi when this photo was taken.
I'm doing a little something different for the photo this time. I'm a firm believer that groups such as the Reeltime Travelers wouldn't exist if it wasn't for their fans. Here is a group of diehard RTT fans. Dai, Chip, PT, and Leigh have followed RTT all over the west including their Alaska shows and workshops this past January.
This is over a 10 meg download so you'll have to be patient. I think you will agree the wait is worth it.

Requests for a CD of the full show which this song was transcribed from can be posted on the RTT forum at the following location http://groups.yahoo.com/group/ReeltimeTravelers/. I'm sure someone there will be more than happy to help you with obtaining a copy.
Dai writes:
I've heard this tune many times now live, and this is my favorite version. I love how the tune begins, with Roy stating an opening riff, and then the bass joining in after a bit of a skip in the rhythm, which is to me very dramatic and beautiful.
Soon guitar and mandolin join the banjo in a flurry of notes, that reminds me of the kind of ecstatic feeling that John Coltrane achieved in pieces like "My Favorite Things" and "Chim Chim Cheree", and seems to conjure images of a whirling dancer entranced by the music.
Thomas' square dance call style vocal has many allusions in it, and perhaps the title lyric itself is a modern allusion to the Rolling Stones, but that's only a wild guess, and I guess only Thomas knows.
Between his vocal passages, the banjo, mando, and guitar just sizzle with joy, and I often need to dance when I play this one. The recording is among the clearest I've ever heard from Leigh's archive, and all of the instruments come through wonderfully clear.
