Dai's review follows:

Much as I LOVE all rest of the stuff done on that Durango disk2, the tune that I think is the most perfect thing I've ever heard from  RTT is that version of "Like a songbird that  has fallen". At the time, in the Durango Arts Center, I liked it, but only weeks later after a number of spins did it really explode for me.

I don't know exactly why, but to me its magical, one of those musical moments that transcends time and space, and seems to say, here is the meaning of life, you were put here to  experience THIS.

Martha's singing and guitar just sparkle with light, even though any musician would say she's only strumming simple chords. But something very deep comes through those chords to me. The way she plays with such consistency and steadiness, perfectly matches the theme of the tune, which (I think) is about the enduring spirit in nature, sensing the support of God, whatever that may be, in the beauty of nature, in birds and flowers, in the cycles of the sun and moon, all around.

Roy and Heidi add something utterly amazing to it as well, a rawness, and an earthiness, and an innocence.

Its about the most perfect three and half minutes I think I'll ever hear in this life, although I hope that's not true(!).

Oh yeah, the guys who wrote the lyrics were no slouches, man, e.g.

"Clouds of fear and misconception wax and wane as if the moon so is in no sense forsaken til the will of God be known"
