Reeltime Travelers - Sweet Pea Festival August 2004

This is almost a seven meg download so you'll have to be patient. I think you will agree the wait is worth it.

The Reeltime Travelers learned this song from Frank Proffitt who hailed from Beech Mountain, North Carolina.

I encourage those who enjoy the music here, not to distribute it in this MP3 webpage listening format. jkh

Requests for a CD of the full show which this song was transcribed from can be posted on the RTT forum at the following location http://groups.yahoo.com/group/ReeltimeTravelers/. I'm sure someone there will be more than happy to help you with obtaining a copy.

This is the third song on the first Durango CD recorded this past April. After returning from the Sweet Pea Festival this past August, Dai was kind enough to send me a stack of RTT CD's which included these great Durango shows from April 2004.

After hearing Reeltime Travelers marvelous rendition of this song, take a listen to Frank Proffitt's version in which RTT learned it from. I love to hear the originals but I am astounded at what RTT has done with this Proffitt tune. They have really added so much soul to vocal and instrumental parts that makeup this wonderful old tune.
