Jamie Hartford
--- Part Of Your History ---
written by Jamie

Lots of good things are happening in Nashville since the New Sheriff arrived. Jamie is definitely at the top of the list. Creative Enterprises Inc., if not official, it soon will be, is taking over the www.johnhartford.com. I've OK'd them to link to this website and hopefully we can create some nice synergism between the two. I will still mostly deal with the old and rarer stuff while the .com works with the newer. I thought that was a great piece of news for all you Hartford fans. Incidentally, you can put these words in the bank and draw interest on them when I say, "You may find Jamie doing some of his dad's songs, but Jamie is Jamie and John was John. Don't expect to see Jamie wearing one of John's hats or vests and tappin' out a tune on a piece of plywood anytime soon." However, I wouldn't expect anything less from Jamie than what John gave us in the quality of showmanship, entertainment, and congeniality during the thirty four years he was in front of us performing. Thirty four years doesn't even include John's earlier fifteen years before moving to Nashville..
The long awaited release of Jamie's acoustic CD is close at hand. Jamie has done such a beautiful job with eleven of his father's songs along with the title song - Part Of Your History. I want to wet you appetite here by allowing you brief glimpse at the sounds from four of the songs that are on the CD.
I admit I'm biased towards the Hartford's but after you hear this CD you will agree with me, that this is truly Grammy material. Jamie, all the guest musicians, John Van Meter the producer of this CD, and others such as Patti Michelle P., who helped John on this project, all deserve a great hand. They won't hear you clapping but they will know you're out there if you drop John a line at the email I have provided below and order the CD as soon as it is released. I wish I had an email address so you could write Jamie some words of encouragement to let him know how much you like what you've heard so far. I will give you John's email address and I'm sure he will pass any input along to Jamie. John Van Meter's email address is - newsheriff@newsheriff.net. Those of you that belong to Yahoo's Goodledays group can also write Patti Michelle. She talks with Jamie with some frequency and would probably be more than happy to pass along any notes of encouragement to Jamie.
If you don't hear the compilation playing after a minute or so and you wish to play it in another MP3 player, or would like to download the file, click here.
