Walnut Valley Spring Thing - 1976

I'll be perfectly honest here. I know a lot of Hartford fans are what I understand to be called "Dead Heads", meaning they are big Grateful Dead fans. I never was, but not because I heard them and didn't like them, I just never got involved with listening to them. The reason I bring this up is that I really like this Walnut Valley set and also for some strange reason was really drawn to John's Retrogras album. Someone will have to tell me, if this and Retrograss borders on on The Grateful Dead kind of music. Maybe I should be embarrassed to say this, but I still don't own nor have I ever listened to a Grateful Dead album. Now all you "Deadheads" that have become dyed in the wool Hartford fans, don't go sending me all sorts of "Dead" shows. I'm in love with Hartford, bluegrass & old time string band music and I can only squeeze in so many genres of music into my life I'm very open to all sorts of music but I need a few more hours in the day to digest more. Anyway, I'm sorry I don't think I can offer this show for trade because it was a commercial release on Takoma Records. By the way it is a 1976 concert. I am only offering the first side, which has John on it. I'll give more information as I find time. I must add that frankly I have never heard John perform the two songs he does here on this show. Maybe someone else can shed some light on these two songs.
